To Malham for the weekend with Marion and Maxie. Maxie has more luggage than Marion, and Marion has more luggage than me, I think. B&B is very nice and we walk to Gordale Scar the afternoon we arrive, and up through one of the loveliest campsites (Robin and I stayed there a few years ago).
The VW is not a van. It’s a tent. Or a gazebo.
At the top of the valley there’s a very small pool, just enough for perfect immersion, with a waterfall which jacuzzies the head wonderfully. Not quite swimming, but very, very good on a spectacularly hot afternoon.
Maxie is Marion’s lurcher.
