The swim I didn’t do… the annual New Year’s Day swim in New Quay – fancy dress optional. The combination of rain, wind and the end of a cough seemed sufficient excuse.
Most didn’t get very wet above the waist – the sprint back up the beach was at least as quick as the race into the water.
