The kitchen has finally moved out of my workroom. The boxes of stuff that have been lurking since the work started in April have gone to new homes, and I had to make a start on the rest of the chaos when the builders needed access to a pipe at the back of my room. But then Jane R came over and we spent a day together clearing up the front half of the space – extremely ruthlessly. Such a lot of old bits of cardboard and dead jiffybags… Hardly anything which was precious had to go, it just got comprehensively cleaned and found a proper place. And now, just in time for the grand kitchen launch, it’s finished. So empty I feel quite lost… but it won’t last for long (either the emptiness or the lostness).
