Our walk took us past some other treats that Littlehampton has to offer – dead boats in muddy docks and a bridge which once (although sadly no more) opened by winding itself back into a pit.
And as an extra, an amphibious car just like the ones we used to see on the Thames when we were children. Absurd then, and absurd now.
