Sorted bus times, left the car at Portballintrae and walked the coast path to the Causeway. New award-wining visitor centre smaller than I’d imagined, but rather good.
The causeway itself not surprisingly full of visitors posing on hexagonal rocks. Including us, of course. What we hadn’t expected were other formations in the cliffs.
Then on round the coast. A huge variety of coastline – sandy beaches (sadly all with notices saying Swimming is Very Dangerous), high cliffs, dunes, flat grassy bits, little rocky islands. Ended at Port Ballintoy, a very pretty little fishing harbour, with the added benefit of ice cream. Caught the bus back to Bushmills, and walked the couple of miles down to the car.
